An organization is only as strong as those members who support its goals. Through the efforts of our committees, we continue to serve our membership and enhance an environment of professional development. We need your talent and expertise to continue our success.

Conference Advisory Committee
Responsible for providing input, coordination and oversight to the conference hosts in overall conference planning.
The CAC ensures continuity and quality of program content.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
Respects individual strengths, viewpoints, and contributions of all its members. It is committed to recognizing diversity as a core strength of the organization and to honor, respect, and value those differences.
Legislative Committee
Provides VAGP members with updates of current and pending legislation effecting public purchasing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition, the Committee seeks to develop partnerships with other organizations whose purpose is to protect and promote the exercise of responsible governmental practices.
Membership Committee
Oversees memberships, student engagement and zone ambassadors for VAGP. This committee promotes organizational and profession awareness, advocates the value of public procurement as a profession to emerging and young professionals, and creates a collaborative environment for local networking.
Student Membership Sub-Committee
This sub-committee of membership promotes profession awareness while advocating the value of public procurement as a profession to emerging and young professionals.
Public Relations Committee
The principle focus of the Public Relations Committee is to provide the VAGP membership with effective dissemination of information regarding special events, individual and collective professional achievements, and educational and professional development opportunities.
Professional Development Committee
Charged with offering low fee educational professional development opportunities, which are not offered by the Education Committee, to the membership of VAGP.
Technology Committee
Promotes technology issues to members and uses technology to enhance VAGP services. This Committee also monitors the VAGP website and the list serve.
