The 2024 VAGP Spring Conference Charity is Feeding Southwest Virginia

We are pleased to announce that the 2024 VAGP Spring Conference Charity is Feeding Southwest Virginia. Feeding Southwest Virginia is a non-profit organization that serves 26 counties and 9 city regions. We will be supporting Feeding Southwest Virginia with nonperishable items and monetary donations. The top 5 non-perishable items that they have requested are dry beans, peanut butter, rice, oatmeal and canned vegetables. We encourage you to bring at least one non-perishable food item for donation. Prizes will be awarded at the conference for the agency/locality that provides the most non-perishable food items. One prize will be awarded to a small, medium, and large entity that contributes the most non-perishable items.
On Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 4:15-6:15 pm conference attendees are invited to help serve dinner at the Roanoke Rescue Mission. The Roanoke Rescue Mission offers safe shelter to families and individuals who are homeless or in crisis. It has grown to be the largest homeless shelter in Virginia. For those interested in joining us to serve dinner, please email Tiffany Gilbert at [email protected] to let her know you plan to attend. If you join us, please wear green since it is St. Patrick’s Day
